1. How do you get to Nicaragua?
International carriers such as American Airlines, Continental, Copa, Grupo Taca, Aeromexico, Spirit Airlines and Delta, provide direct daily flights from Miami, Houston, Atlanta to Managua's International Airport. These international carriers offer connecting flights from european countries.
2. Recommended clothing
Generally,light clothing and comfortable shoes are highly recommended
3. Travel Documents
Passports must be valid at least six months. Most travelers do not require visas, only a $5 USD tourist card, which is purchased when entering the country.
4. Driving permits
Visitors can use foreign driving permits for 30 days after entering Nicaragua.

6. Credit Cards and travelers checks
These are accepted and used in numerous establishments and banks around the country. Automatic teller machines (ATM's) are available and can be found in most tourist areas.
